This budget motel boasts of a prime location, being relatively close to key spots like the old bridge and the river, making it easy to explore the city. the rooms are comfortable with great shower facilities. the owners at reception, though not extremely pleasant, are polite and helpful.
The motel seems to be lacking in other facilities like breakfast and milk in rooms.

I had a great stay at a cozy accommodation on the outskirts of Wanganui. The heated mattress pad was a pleasant surprise that kept me comfortable throughout the night. Having a separate room for the kids made bedtime much easier. Despite a few minor issues, overall I highly recommend this place.

Great value for money and perfect location for our New Year's celebrations. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised with two free complementary drinks upon check, in and a basket of fresh fruit in our room. the room was clean and spacious with all the amenities we needed.
The bathroom door catch did not lock properly, which was a bit inconvenient. We also had some minor issues at check, in and check, out with the staff not being present at the office, causing a bit of confusion and delay.

I chose Te Awa Motel because of its great location near the Sarjeant Gallery. The laundry facilities at the motel were a pleasant surprise, as well as the multilingual staff. I also enjoyed the barbecue and hot tub offered.
Hard with toddlers, low sliding door handles.

The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The bathroom was also clean which was a relief. The location was conveniently close to the central part of town and there was free Wi-Fi which was a bonus.
Our Christmas stay wasn't great. There were no decorations or any sort of Christmas spirit in the room.
